A quick one, comparatively. I'm planning to get up early tomorrow so I can hit Salvation Army before work. They had some great tankard and trencher sets that I Can sell at faire for a profit. I hope they are still there. Therefore I'm not too keen on putting off sleep to write an extended post about what is in fact a pretty empty day. I spent 8 hours at work. I was tired for some reason and really had no impetus to do anything. I spent a lot of time deciding which chair I liked better and standing outside to escape the muggy air inside. No writing got done today. However, after about a week of pecking at it in tiny chunks to savor its goodness I ran out of Neil Gaiman today. And just in time for another long shift tomorrow. I'm grabbing something off my shelf. Maybe I'll give Beowulf another read.
After work I came home just long enough to jot an e-mail and made a peanut butter sandwich before running off to see "Biloxi Blues" at the New Court Theatre. I went, not only because my friend Jim is in it but because back before time was time and before I became what I am now, when I wanted to be a verinarian I saw this play at the Zanesville Community Theatre. Originally I had not been thrilled with the prospect of going to that first play. By the end of it though I knew I wanted to do the same thing and was in an auditon for "Hagar the Horrible" (which would become my first real production) within the week. It was a nice production. I think it could have been edgier and less punchy. some of the places that could have been touching, frightening or more real were instead played for laughs.
Oh well. I was also reminded that I need to find a play for next semester. Must... Read... Scripts...

After the show I hit Cubs for a toothbrush, some ginger ale and a fountain pen. No luck on the fountain pen, but I did grab a chisel tip marker, that should be passable right?I walked home and started some laundry/ bread/ blackadder II/ transcription of text for a bit this weekend.

new bits planned so far:
-song for the queen, very self aggrandising
-report on the voyage to Meta Incognita w/ props.new presentation jokes

Stuff to do this weekend:
-Ask Tom Charney about reviving T-walk in his absence
-do some mad wooing of a red haired girl in pirate garb whom I've never met... ever.
-Guard the queen on Saturday. (If I can get away with it I think I will mistake some people for marauding spaniards)
-pick out the official scent of Captain Frobisher so that it ceases to be eau d' gymsocks

Now, bed.

-Augh, damn my eyes! I forgot to wash my muckinger in the machine.-
